Key Information
- Location: University of Michigan is located in Ann Arbor, MI, ~27 miles from Detroit/Wayne County Airport (DTW), and 47 miles from downtown Detroit.
- Airport Access. DTW offers direct flights to most major US cities and many international hubs.
- Local Transportation. Regular buses and shuttles are available at very low cost (e.g. Ann Arbor AirRide, $12 one way, about 1 hour transit time). Taxi services are probably the most direct way of reaching Ann Arbor from DTW ($35-40 for 1 way service, 25 min door-to-door). Ann Arbor also has good train connectivity to Chicago (~4 hours transit time), so flights in and out of O’Hare (ORD) and Midway (MDW) are also reasonable routes to access the site.
